BioNote that this is a journal for an RPG character: Subaru, from the manga Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicles
Character: Subaru
Series: Subaru, as any self-respecting CLAMP character, is in multiple series. Tokyo Babylon. X/1999. And Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles.
Version: Tsubasa (manga, post Acid Tokyo)
Age: Looks about 16 or 17. Is in actuality much older.
Gender: male
Sexuality: Gay. Canonically, Subaru from TB and X is gay, and there is a heavy amount of suggestion that he is also gay in TRC. This is being cited from a conversation that Subaru had with Fuuma about Seishirou (Subaru's great downfall in X and TB for those of you unaware of the storyline of X and TB). And not only do I prefer him that way, he's a CLAMP character and he's male, so there's about an 80-90% chance that he's gay. (You know it to be true.)
Appearance: Deceptive. He looks maybe a scrawny sixteen. No taller than 5'7”, but lanky. Thin, but not trim. Proper, but with a soft smile that makes the harsh lines almost disappear. Almost sickly pale. His eyes are green, such a brilliant green that it seems almost out of place among the black and the white that makes up the rest of him. Because the rest is black and white, except when those pale lips are tainted with blood. He is a fashionable dresser, but that is no doubt a holdover from being raised properly. He dressed in black suits, and white shirts with high, lace edged collars. He seems to wear nothing else, save a gold chain about his neck.
Personality: While Kamui is fire, Subaru is water. He is deep and there is a strength to him that is not as apparent to those around him as perhaps should be. Despite it all he is deeply caring, and he is quite aware of the pain he causes to those around him. He is innately quiet, and he seems to carry a deep guilt with him. He has been hurt to his core, but he carries on because he still has those he wishes to protect. Kamui. His other half. Twin.
He has loved, and now he runs. He has slept, and has felt the pain that comes from his sleeping. He does not fight except for when he feels there is no other option. Peaceful, like the surface of a lake. But he can strike out, and his vengeance will be as overwhelming as the sea itself.
Abilities/Weaponry: Pureblood. He is a pureblood vampire, and thus his abilities to heal himself are several times that of a human. He must feed on human blood, from time to time, to keep himself alive. But the myths about sunlight and silver are simply that: myths. He has increased speed, endurance, physical ability. His fingers can lengthen into claws, and he is inordinately strong. His brother, it appears, is the stronger, but perhaps that is because Subaru has not been pushed to fight like Kamui has.
Weaknesses: Seishirou (heart. Betrayer. hunter.). Kamui (twin. Other half. Soul.)
Less importantly: bridges (have always frightened him), emotions, blood (“I don't want anyone messing with Subaru's blood any more”), his own heart (can he trust it?).
History: They are purebreed vampires. They have been together since the moment they came into this world. They will never be apart again. There is he. There is no I. There is only ours, us, we.
Kamui is the one who has protected him, fought with him, stayed with him for as long as he can remember. Always his twin has barely been more than an armspan away, always within calling distance. Save once.
Seishirou was his heart. His lover. Vampires mate for life, and Subaru knew the moment that he met Seishirou that his heart was gone. Seishirou owned it. But happiness would not come, not for Subaru. The betrayal was perhaps inevitable, but it still cut him to the bone. Figuratively, and literally. Seishirou believed that Subaru's blood was some sort of key... but to what Subaru did not know. He used the vampire, and tried to destroy him.
Kamui and Subaru left, fleeing endlessly. They never stayed in any worlds too long, until the day Subaru opened his eyes and Kamui's hands weren't in his anymore. It was the day he arrived in Paixao.
